Daniel Cugola is a director and cinematographer based in Sydney, Australia. He’s been working in the industry for over seven years. He has an Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media from the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television (AFTT), as well as a Bachelor of Creative Arts from JMC Academy. An avid lover of film and cinema, Daniel enjoys the whole creative process from start to finish, and is multi-skilled in the filmmaking process, having also been a producer, assistant director and editor. Additionally, he ran a podcast titled “The Pre-Production Meeting” with co-hosts Josh Urquhart and Austin Scott. Over the past seven years, Daniel has directed and shot a variety of content, from promotional videos, real estate and events to films and music videos. 

Daniel likes to create work that aims to stay with the viewer long after they have finished watching. He aims to create visceral stories that show the truth of humanity, and often caters towards darker psychological thriller and drama films, but also enjoys black comedies.
